The Sami have used reindeer and sled to transport people and equipment for hundreds of years.

On this exciting tour, you will learn about how they drive the reindeer sled and also gain a real insight into the fascinating Sami culture. Learn about the reindeer, how they take care of them and the way they can used the reindeer for handicraft, clothes and of course for food for the family. After your ride in the reindeer-driven sled, you can try lasso throwing and hear joik, the traditional sami song, sami culture and perhaps a cup of black coffee in the Lavvo ( Tipi). There will also be time to visit our Sami handicraft lavvo where you can see more handicraft and buy some product.

We offer this tour in the daytime as well as in the evening. In the daytime, you can enjoy the fantastic views of the Lyngen Alps from the reindeer sled. In the evening, maybe Northern light.
Join an authentic Sami guide from a reindeer herding family for an unforgettable experience of pure reindeer sledding and Sami culture at the edge of Tromsø.

During the visit you will experience: Reindeer sledding trip , lasso throwing, storytelling, joik (traditional Sami song), a taste of black coffee in the wooden lavvo, and hot soup with reindeer meat.
The meal will be served in our Lavvo.
